Does anyone have any ideas on how to make an ajustment to seats on a 1980 corvette. I am 5'2" and my seats need to sit up rather than lean back and also need to move in closer.
Can I move the seats tracks up to solve the one ? But have no idea how to adjust the backward lean .

There is no adjustment for the back. I had the same problem and I cut open a black garden hose ( my interrior is black )and placed it on the back ridge of the seat, It moved the back forward almost 1 in. If you can get a hose the same color and your interrior you won't see it. Hope that hepls you
If you put shims or blocks under the rear seat track mounts that will move the seat up in the back and lean the seat forward. This will also move your feet closer to the pedals.I've done this before but being that your 5'2" you should also consider 1" blocks on the pedals or your going to have the steering wheel too close to your body.
I used the heater hose method ( cut a piece that can attach to the lip on the clamshell seat back and one piece on the bottom seat; put a slit in the hoses like wire bundling and push on); it straightened it up enough so that my back does not hurt as much.

my wife complains about the passenger side being too tilted back for long cruises. I'm thinking 'bout pulling it and using some washers under the rear mount pads. I think I'll try the slit tube trick too which is easily removable when you want to.
I agree, you can improve the tilt by adjusting the stops at the back of the seats. Replace if word and the washers may help. A simple adjustment helped mine. You will definately gain some lift with shims under the rear seat track mounts.
