Default Electrical gremlins

Recently I posted about how I hooked up my electric fan to the yellow wire going to the wipers, well I have now undone that and set that wire up to be as it was originally. So afterwards I try to turn them on and all i get is a click every time i try, BUT, the really weird part, is that one time when I tried to turn them on my tach needle started to rise even though the engine wasn't running, the wire to the tach and to the wipers are in no way touching or cross or make any contact, any reason why this could happen?

Also, how do you remove the headlight switch? And am I correct that the headlight switch itself acts as the fuse for the front lights? My front lights aren't working, even though when I pull the switch the parking lights and interior lights all come on.

Thanks in advance

There is no fuse in the parking light switch, in no way, shape or form. with the interior redesign, I BELEIVE you can reach the switch from below, up to '77, it's a bit more involved. be aware that the vac lines need to go back on (2) to the same leads they come off of and the small push button releases the light **** shaft when pushed in. The fans should go to the Alt + lead at the alternator, this will let them run after the car is shut down. If you don't want this, you can put a 30/40Amp relay in the fan power path (keep it as short as possible) and controll it off the ACC tab in the fuse box.
