1972 carpet installation
Hello,
I'm doing a ground-up on a 72 coupe and have found some hard to find parts on this site along with some good advice. I'm up to the carpet and purchased the carpet set from Corvette Central. The new carpet came with juke padding on it. But I can remember a black rubber pad with juke on the old one.I can't remember if the old carpet had juke also. My question is: Is there supposed to be a black rubber with juke padding underneath the new set that already has a juke pad. Or can anyone tell me what the factory used in 72.

Dont know about the factory set n the 72 but when I pulled the rug from my 69 to cut down on road noise and being it was under the carpet and no one will ever see it. I used 2 rolls of foil backed dynomat to coat the floor it cut down on road noise and helped with the heat as well.
