Hi every one...it's ben a while...
I just bought me a 1976 corvette manual L48...The car in very good condition ben done so many things to it,,,,she don't have matching#'s though...the engine ben replaced by the old owner and he gave away the original engine!!!I tried to chase down the Original Engine with no luck
My ? is can I find out what kind of engine I have I mean witch year,maybe you guys know.... the engine # 19S733276 V1016H7

Car looks good for that money! I paid the same years ago for my '76 but it needed interior. Looks like yours is better inside than mine was before I redid it all.
Does the prev owner of your car not know what engine he put in it?
It appears you got a VG deal on your car. I like the color combination! Sorry, I can't help decoding the numbers, but think I recognize numbers that make it a Corvette engine. Unless you are entering an NCRS show, or concerned about originality of a rare collectable, it doesn't matter anyway. Good luck and enjoy the car
Looks like you got a great deal on a fine ride there.
If you want to know more about the kind of engine you have you need a good flashlight and find the casting number on the back of the motor by the firewall. It will at least tell you the type of motor that is in the car. You will never know what kind of parts are inside the motor, bore, stroke, etc... Unless you tear it down and that would be silly.
