I am down to working out all the little bugs on my 70. The wipers will only go on when you use the bypass switch. The wiper swith on the dash does nothing not even control the speed. Does anyone have any ideas on what to check?

I'm probably not the right one to solve your problem, but here are a couple of suggestions. I have a early 70 and have a wiper pump glitch so I've come across these questions.
Is the switch mounted (good contact) in the top of the center bezel and is the center bezel broke into. If the center bezel is broke it will not get a good ground. The switch could be bad and have you tested for power going to the switch and going to the motor?
Hope this helps.
The wiper switch body must have a good connection to chassis ground. Run a jumper lead from the switch body to a known good ground and see if the park, low and high functions work.
