Side Marker Problem
I’m having an issue with my side marker and with the parking/directional light on just the front left only. The problems are: I can’t get either to work with the parking lights or lights are switched on. However, they both work when the directional is turned on.
Note: I noticed that one of the grounding tabs (out edge) is broken off in the socket. I would think as long as the bulb is grounded, it is grounded.
Both lights work when the directional is turned on however, on the parking directional bulb, the larger/brighter filament does not light, just the smaller/duller one does. Rotating the bulb 180 degrees does not change anything, the duller light lights. The right side lights up the larger/brighter filament when the direction is on and the smaller/duller one when the parking light are on. Can the probes be shorted?
Are the side markers in the rear made to blink when the directionals are turned on. Mine rears don’t. My front one’s do.
If all are side markers are made to blink, do they alternate with their companion? . For example side marker rear lights while the rear on that side is off and reverse when the rear is lit, the side marker is off?

I replaced the side marker bulbs, and no change.
There is a new event. When I remove the parking bulb, the side marker lights up---when the light are on, and goes off when the bulb is placed back in.
