transmission question
Does anyone have some knowledge on the transmission, my 81 corvette will no longer go into Park. I have all the other gears and no issues with the new tranny I had put in 8 months ago.
Once it goes into park it rolls like it's in neutral, any help or can tell me what to look for?

With the E-brake on, get under the car and disconnect the shifter linkage. Put it in park by hand, making sure it engages, and then see if it rolls.
If it shifts into park and it holds, then the shifter was just out of adjustment and needs to be reconnected and setup so the shifter and transmission are on the same page again.
If you can't manually shift it into park then the Park Pawl might have malfunctioned or lodged in some way keeping it from engaging.
If that's the case I might suggest taking it to a transmission shop.
