Who needs to get a professional alignment?
Couple years back after rebuilding my front and installing steeriods I did a bubba home alignment: set camber (with an angle finder) and toe then drove, re-shimed caster based on the car pulling to one side, reset toe and drove. Did this about 3 times until the car tracked straight. Knew I need to get new tires so figured alignment was good enough until I got them.
Well this year I bought new rims and and tires and found camber was still where I set it with the old rims and tires. Although the car tracked straight I decided to buy a caster/camber gauge. Driver side was 4* caster and passenger side was about 3.75*, not bad for a bubba home alignment.

After my restro, I set mine with a level & a protractor. I thought it looked good. I put it on a Hunter alignment machine last week. Boy I was shocked. It was not even close. I did the alignment myself with the help of a friend. After stacking all of the shims in the front end with the protractor, I got to pull them all back out with the Hunter machine. It was very close where the shims were, before I took the car apart.
