What is the best (easiest) way to remove the carpet from the rear storage compartment doors??? I believe it is the original and it is glued on quite firmly. Should I use a heat gun - hair dryer??? I don't want to ruin the doors so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Merry Christmas everybody! ......Just took the carpet off my storage compartment doors and replaced it. Don't know if you know it yet but the edges of the carpet are held by the metal strips that form the borders of each door. These metal strips have small plastic "rivets' in them(sides) you will have to drill or punch out. Once they are out the carpet can be pulled off pretty easily. If you remove the metal trim it makes for a lot neater job going back too, since you just cover the whole door with new carpet and then put the metal trim back on for a "perfect" carpet job. Some of the old carpet and glue will probably stick to the doors, but you can scrape it off pretty easily (I used a wood chisel). Regards

Thanks all for your responses - appreciate it.
Seems like there is no easy way so I will use the razor blade and scrape method.
Thanks again and Happy Holidays.
