Ran a 12.3 on first run, then switched to my Moroso front skinnies and ran 12.11, 12.09 and then 11.959. This was on a humid 90 degree day.
MPH went from 112 to 115 on tire change. Think I short shifted thrid gear on the first run, but no doubt the tire change had a big impact.
Weight went from 3204 to 3182.
Previous best was a 12.02 in some really good weather at Corvette Nationals. The only other change since then was to put some 90/10 shocks up front.
So the skinnies were worth a couple tenths, that good to know. I was running mid to high 12s also and haven't run since I got my skinnies, or the drag radials for that matter. I also have the 90/10s and the Moroso trick trick springs with 2 coils out. Can't wait to go, I'm real excited to try out my skinnies now! I just got new AFR heads and a new cam so it will be a little while before I get to installing them.
What size wheels and tires did you go with? I got the 4 inch ralleys from summit by Wheel Vintiques and the MT ET fronts. Also did tech say anything about the center caps or trim rings needing to be removed, they didn't say anything to me but some of the guys around warned me that I should take them off so I don't get hassled.
The front Morosos are 26 by 4.5 mounted on aluminum centerlines which I beleive are 4 inches. Had to use spacers to make em fit which I was'nt excited about, but seem to work fine.
The rear tires are Hoosier 8in slicks 26in tall, mounted on Summit brand 15 X 7 in aluminum wheels.
Yeah Ollie you did. Was very happy, also started to see some decent 60 foot times, was'nt getting my rpms up enough on launch. Don't think tires gave me 3 mph as the first run was'nt perfect as I am pretty sure I short shifted 3-4. Also weather while hot and muggy all day, was improving.

I'm sure that the 90/10's helped a lot too! When I went to 90/10's and softer front springs, my 60' times improved a lot. Your car still has a lot more potential.. I'm 100% sure that you can get the car into mid 11's with some more weight reduction and elimination of mechanical accessories.. That's really incredible potential with a fairly mild engine!
If you run 115 mph now, you will probably run 119+ mph in cold weather.. When I had the 5-speed and the 383 in the car, I ran 11.67 @ 119.79 mph..
