'82 Transmission
Just acquired my first corvette, an '82. Real clean, runs well. My only concern is that the transmission feels like it hesitates in the middle gears. It accelerates from a stop really well, but after cruising at 20-30mph, it hesitates when I gas it. But it doesn't feel like it is slipping. It almost seems to shift to the wrong gear when I'm just coasting. Is this typical for the '82 c3 or should it respond more quickly? Could it be time to rebuild the tranny?

That's the overdrive kicking in. I believe it's the Shift Points but I could be wrong. There was a discussion, not too long ago, on how to adjust it. Hopefully some of the trans guru's will chime in.
