Anyone installed a Centreforce clutch on their Vette? Did you check the concentricity and lateral run-out from the centre line of the crankchaft to the bellhousing?(as Centreforce recommend)
Just in process of installing Dual Friction clutch on my new 489 and reading manufacturers notes which advise checking these out.
I would have guessed this is probably more applicable to installation with a Lakewood or similar bellhousing.
Also did anyone have issues with stock clutch pivot point. Again manufacturer quotes specific dimensions and tolerances.
I am guessing this will be more applicable to re-surfaced flywheels which would have an effect on the clutch fork angle.
Using a new Centreforce flywheel which appears fractionally thicker than stock GM unit
I would heed their advice and check the runout as it's not hard to do and will save possible pilot brg hanging up,grind going in gear etc. If you are running a TKO please check the runout as the front trans bearings are a lot pickier than a Muncie. Just did my TKO 600 and found it to be within .005
