Exhaust Port Shape
I've been after some new exhaust headers, but I'm not sure about the significance of the exhaust port shape on the cylinder heads versus the shape on the exhaust manifold.
A large majority of the exhaust headers (in my searching) have had round ports on them, and of course the stock cylinder heads have square ports.
It seems dangerous to me to assume the gasket will neck down the square ports on the cylinder heads to a round port in the manifold, but it seems strange to me that there are so many with round tubes.
Are there adapters for this sort of application, or am I wrong about weather round can be mated to square, or do I just need to find something that fits my application directly?
