The 1971-82 Corvette manual gear part number is 7819668.

I thought there was no difference between a steering box for a manual steering car and a power steering car.

The only possible difference would be in the 69 run when the change from a full spline to the coarse with flat went in. Just need to check the input to see what is on the car. Other times the box on the car may have been swapped to an early /late box in it's life. Internally no difference, set up is the same.

going to manual you will need a different pitman arm and center link.
