1969 Windshield Date Code
LOF was the maker of the glass back then not sure now.
It should read something like Shaded Soft Ray Safety plate, ASI, CV, or
XV, or YV.
The two cap letters on the right side of the LOF are the date codes from the lof company.
I dont have my book to tell you what the dates are but you might be able to fined them if you google LOF and or know someone with a NCRS judging book.
The date code needs to preceed the build date of your car as much as up to 6 months.
I have a early 70 coupe and my front windshield is CV.
I'm looking at a very early vert and the front windshield has LG and if I remember right that was a date for 1976 or 86 or 96. So the lof number told me the window had been replaced at some point in the cars history.

The two letter date code are for the month and year.
For example C=January and V= 1970.
The the month & the year I've placed next to the letter may not be the correct dates cause like I said I dont have my book to confirm but hopefully you get the idea.
Hope this helps.

Your code looks like "IN" which translates to I=June and N=1971. To be original the glass date should preceed your vehicle build date.
After looking at it again if what I think is a "I" might be a faded "L" then it would be March and would make it correct.

I think it's neat to find all of the numbers on these cars.
It took a while to find the date codes for the 70s but here they are.
Keep in mind that you will find 69 glass well into the 70 production and you'll find 70 glass well into the 71 production and so on.
I cant tell you why the codes were coded with the two letters as being the month & year and who knows maybe GM doesnt know why either, it's the way LOF did it and its pretty easy once a person has the dang letters for the month / year.
V=1969 production, & T=1970 production.
N=january, X=February, L=March, G=April, J=May, I=June, U=July, T=August, A=September, Y=October, C=November, & V=December.
So like on my car CV=November/1969.
Hope this helps.
