Holley idle

I just put a Holley spreadbore on my Vette yesterday. It is the mechanical secondary version with divorced choke. I am very pleased with the performance, but I can't set the idle low enough. The choke works perfectly, but after it warms up, the idle sets in at about 1500 rpm. The choke is fully open, and it is off the fast idle cam. I have completely backed off the idle set screw, and I have checked the linkage for binding. Could it be a float level issue, or idle mixture?

I'm just taking a stab at this...could it be a vacuum leak?

Maybe. Could be the secondary butterflies are not seated. Make sure the there closed

Sure enough. The secondary linkage was a little sticky, and the butterflies were "cracked" at idle. I lubed the linkage and problem solved! Thanks for the ideas!
