Differential Fill plug
Ok, after much digging through the forum without success, can anyone tell me what size socket you need to get the fill plug out of a '77? A 16mm fits but it's a little loose, 5/8 won't quite fit.
Thanks

I use an adjustable wrench. I don't think there is a correct socket to fit it.

The full plug is 4 sided, so an open end wrench or adjustable wrench work best.

Does anyone know of a place to purchase one, with a magnet? Thanks Ron B.

You could just magnetize one.

I ended up getting a crows foot wrench to get mine. I couldn't get an adjustable wrench in there, couldn't find a 5/8 (iirk) square drive socket.

I just bought a 5/8 8 point from Sears, and it worked perfectly. It wasn't magnetized though.
