Is there a quick fix... or a logical place to start looking to remedy this minor issue?
My low fuel warning light stays on. My gas tank level gauge reads just fine. So it's just a minor annoyance, but I would like to remedy the issue if the fix is not too involved (ie., I do not want to drop the tank and replace all sorts of things just to get the light to go out).
If the gas gauge works ok other wise then its the little module on the back of the light in the dash.If you just want the light off then take the bulb out by removing the glove box.If you want to fix the little circuit board I have a little drawing that I use for the standard problem.

This is a drawing that I made for my own reference many years ago so if you need help understanding it let me know.It shows how to bench test the module.Lay the module on the bench bulb side up and use the shape of the circuit board for position. It also shows which transistor to replace when the problem is the light staying on and the fuel gauge still works good. The transistor shown on the box top is a HD replacemnt for the original.
So I have a similar problem where my low fuel light is constantly on no matter what the level of fuel indicated on the gauge. So this means my best chance to fix this is to either replace the whole circuit board (about $60) or can i get away with just putting in a new ecg159 transistor which I can buy for $5?
