Default Supercharging Nitrous

I have a stock 1977 with lower miles. It was bought with the idea of keeping stock and original. recently Ive been sricken with the want for more of a hot rod. I decided that using a Weiand 142 blower with 5lbs of boost and a new carb would be fun and something i could take off if i decide to move back to stock. Then I thought adding a small shot of nitrous to the mix would be fun as well. I know that nitrous and blowers can work together. All my research says either power adder can be used on a factory engine with limitations. Is the idea of adding them both to my stock vette a terrible idea if I limit them appropriately? Any suggestions for carbs? Any input would be appreciated.
Also, im aware I will have to cut my hood, and im not interested in modifying the engine any other way.

Thats alot of power that you will have on tap and that you WILL want to use, you might as well get a crate engine and swap out the moter so you can keep your stock motor and have some fun with another motor that you dont have to worry about damaging. But thats my .02

I'd choose just one of those mods... most likly the NOS, since it is easy to add and remove.

Plus you won't use it as much since it needs to be recharged...

Your engine's not going to be able to take the abuse. We won't discuss driveline issues. With a blower you'll want to reduce the compression ratio (new pistons). Nitrous is hard on the pistons, rods, crank, and bearings.

I like Hybrid117's idea: get a crate engine. You're going to break the original engine...

I would get a crate engine, or have a shop do a cheap rebuild of a 350, and add nitrous only. The nitrous + blower is just gonna make metal break...

Ive decided on the blower only. Any suggestions on carb. size, type, tuning? Anything additional i will need? Maximum Boost? Would a remanufactured carb. be suitable for this application. Any input would be appreciated.

weiand is now a Divison of Holley,I would get there phone # from their site and call them, they were very helpful when I tried a B&M 174(they bought out B&M blower divison) on my 69 BB 427,didn't work out,cam issues, comp. issues,so tore the motor down, got a 454 4 bolt block...etc and 8-71 blower,....also I dont think it will fit under the hood on a small block either....

The tolerances in a used / stock 77' 2 bolt might be a bit less than what you might want to boost or spray... much less both...
stock cast pistons melt under pressure too...
