Default EGR Valve

I am looking at two options for my 75 350: replace the stock intake with performer 2101 or clean-up the old intake. I plan to use the stock quadrajet. The performer does not have a mounting location for the EGR valve - can I just not install the valve? Research on the forum says I may have to adjust the carb to prevent minor stalling when pressing on the accelerator. If I decide to stay with the stock intake should I take the EGR valve off anyway? I am installing headers and I do not have to pass smog test.

I would say most folks just ditch the EGR valve if you aren't passing smog, I know I do. I think the Performer will run a little better for you than the stock intake, even with the EGR blocked off.

I put the 2101 w Q-Jet and no EGR on my 73 it ran great. Definite pickup in the getup. I since changed to a Holley 4175 carb and some headers and it's a really different motor now with the mods.
