Default Torque spec for headers?

Should I use the same spec as what is called out for cast manifolds? The Dynomax installation instructions just say to tighten. Someone told me to just crank them down because they will just keep on getting lose anyways. Also, It does not take much to deflect the steel flange at the bolt locations. I am assuming that this is supposed to happen?

There is no way I can get a torque wrench in there. I do like Pat. Never had them loosen

I have had good luck with snugging them down during install, run the engine for about 30 minutes to an hour. Then re-tighten them while they are still warm. You should be good for about a month or so. I always check/tighten my bolts every few weeks to keep from blowing a header gasket...... :chevy
