Default 1978 Corvette

OK guys I have a buddy of mine that says his 1978 Corvette can run high 10's to low 11's. I wanna know what it would take to get a '78 vette to run that fast in the 1/4. Please all input is welcome. Thanks in advance guys.

Check through some of the signatures and their was also a couple of recent threads on 1/4 mile times and what members were turning.

You would need lots of HP and Torque, a strong tranny and a strong rear. You would also have to beef up the suspension to keep the rubber to the road and probaly drop a few pounds.

A bunch of engine mod's,tweak the suspension, put on some good drag tires, turn the key and floor it.....and hang on..
I really wonder about streetability. There are some cars here that really run strong though..What is your Mustang running?
