Temp sending unit

I am in the process of swithcing back to the original intake manifold on my 68 327/300HP and realized there is no hole for the temp unit in the original manifold?
Can someone please direct as to where I put this thing?

What is in the driver's side head .5" port? That's where most stock temp sending units are in later Vettes and I don't see why that location can't be used if nothing is there already.

Thanks ......D-Boy. It has a plug there. Will that Raise my Temp reading any....being that it is lower in the engine compartment and directly behind the the headers?
