Help with T-Top leak
I have a 1974 that was recently painted. The T-top has all new weatherstrip. I have a leak on the passenger side back inside corner near the center rail. I know T-top leaks are common but this is not a drip it is a waterfall coming in (slight exageration there but it is quite a leak). I took it off and everyting seems to be O.K. Any ideas on what I can try? There does not seem to be anything to adjust back there. I'm open to any suggestions. I am putting in a new interior and can't start until I get this fixed. Thanks for any suggestions.

I had a similar problem. My weather stripping was being pushed out of shape when I slid the t-top on. I took the inside tips off that slide into the slots in center of the top. I then laid the tops in place making sure the weather stripping was laying flat. I then reinstalled the the tips on the t-tops from inside the car with them in place and the weather stripping flat against the mating surface. Problems solved for me. I don't remove them. Plus the inboard tips are shimmed and you may be able to remove a shim to make the top tighter.

Your leak could be coming from the top windshield area and flow back. I used NAPA black ribbon caulk for the top and sides of the windshield -between the windshield glass and stainless molding -and in crevices a little further back. Stopped the leaks.
