Default Clutch fork alignment

I replaced the clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing last winter. I installed the throwout bearing properly on the fork, but when I installed the fork in the bellhousing, the centerline of the throwout bearing did not line up with the centerline of the bellhousing. In order to slide the tranny in place, I had to pull the throwout bearing out about 1/4" to get it to line up. It was still engaged firmly on the fork, but it seemed odd to me. Now the clutch works smooth, but the adjuster is all the way out to the end of the shaft. It seems like it is barely disengaging all the way. Any ideas??

Having to slide the TB out a little to get the input shaft through is normal. The bearing doesnt go all the way into the fork.As far as the adjustment being at the end of the rod can be effected by several things. The height of the TB-the height of the pivot ball in the bellhousing-make sure the Z bar on the frame end and the engine end is not loose..the ball pivot on the engine sometimes backs out. Also check your pedal pivot inside under the dash.Anything wore in the linkage can cause you to have to run the adjustment all the way out.

Thanks. I really didn't want to have to pull the tranny again. This gives me a few things to check. I'll post my progress.

Resurface of the flywheel will also effect the clutch fork geometry.
Excessive material removal from the flywheel (or multiple resurfacings) will cause the symptoms you observe.
