I have lunati roller tip rockers installed (a non roller cam), and am wondering if stock height valve covers will fit over them (i dont have any to check) would like to know before i order some, thanks,
Steve
I've been running Crane roller rockers on my '73, 350 with the stock L-82 valve covers for about 15 years (~ 10,000 miles) with no difficulty. I did install a double set of valve cover gaskets for some added clearance even though they didn't touch... they were a bit close.
Many times the problem is with the poly-locks that we often use. You can purchase a set of shorter poly-locks if that is a problem. I believe Summit or Jegs carries them.
As ghoastrider1 mentioned, if you're set on using the L-82 valve covers and clearance is a problem, they make spacers for the valve covers to provide about an extra inch of clearance.
