Default '80 L48 leaning

My dad and I are fixing up an '80 L48 Vette. My car leans to the left in the rear. It was hit on the right side but the guy I bought it from said it wasnt that bad. Could that be a reason for it leaning? Can anybody help me figure out what's wrong?

I would look at the right rear and see if the put in a new spring and shock after it was hit . If they are new and the left side is old , that could cause the car to lean

Thanks for the response. We checked the shocks and thay appear the same. We also heard that the leaf spring could be weak on one side so we took it out and turned it around but it didn't change much. We also noticed on the right side of the frame had been welded from the middle of the door back to were the the frame starts to go up, and the door looks to have been changed because the car was originaly black and were the paint is chipped and cracked on the door it is blue. The rest of the paint on the car is in the same condition but still black underneath, and the r/r qr. had repair work.

I think you answered your question right there. Also check the body mounts

In your troubleshooting, keep in mind that shocks do not affect ride height.

Look at the body mount on the leaning side.
It might be broken away (or crushed) at the point where it attaches to the Fiberglass.
