it might help next time ... if you'd specify which year & model you're working on ... also which coil ... and whether you're running a msd box along with 8360 dist (if so, which box).
if you're running a msd box, connect tach's trigger (aka signal) wire to box.
if you're running 8360 stand-alone mode (no box) ... probably connect your tach trigger wire to ignition coil's negative primary post.
