Default Chart for Numbers Matching Motor

I'm trying to find out if my motor is the origional. Can anyone tell me where I can find any info(books, links ect.) or better yet can you just tell me?
My VIN is 1Z37X6S435136
Car is a 76 L82

I think the motor is stamped V0426CKC ?? Hard to read. Can you also tell if this is a 4-bolt main?

Thanks Guys!

your motor is probably original if it has your vin number stamped next to the numbers you gave us....to tell if its the right block...look behind the distributor down by where the transmission bolts to the block and you will see some casting numbers that will tell you the actual block and the casting date....it may be grimy but i assure you...they are there....

good luck

Just below the front of the right hand head there is an area of the block protruding that should show the #'s you are looking for. Part of the # should be the last 6 digits of the VIN, 435136 in your case, which would indicate your car has the original engine.
