I am having a problem with my healights. When I turn the lights on the lights come up together, but when I turn them off the driverside goes down then about 5 sec later the passengerside will go down. I am thinking that it is the relay, but would like the opinion of others on this before I order the part.

Switch hoses on relay and see if problem goes to the other light.
When I am looking for a specific part I always use gmpartsdirect.com. This site will give you an accurate finding if a part is still available as long as you have a part number.
Go to your local Chevrolet Dealers parts counter and ask if this part is still available, group number 2.755 part number 5628427. It can be found at GM Parts Direct web site. GM List price $125.70 GM Parts Direct price $74.52. When I go to the parts counter I always tell them I belong to a Corvette Club and receive an additional 20%. It is very possible that the dealer can match or beat the online price, and there’s no shipping charges when going through the dealer. Been dealing with the same parts guy now for ever.
The more information you give the counter person the better you’ll be taken care of.
Thanks for the help. After some more troubleshooting and reseating of the hoses on the relay the problem seemed to persist even though i was able to rule out the relay. After working with it few minutes I realized the system closing the headlights works much better if you allow the vacuum in the resivour to build for a minute than if your turn the lights on then off within a few seconds. They do seem to close together with a reasonable amount of speed when waiting.
