Having flooding problem with an Edelbrock Performer, '73 with 350, 400 Turbo. The car hasn't been started in over a month because of starter & switch woes. Was doing fine before, took it off and checked for dirt & gum, looked fine. ???? Thanx for any help! ....by the way carb is fairly new.
you can check the needle and seat by blowing into the fuel line nut. Air should go in the carb. stop blowing and turn the carb upside down and then blow into it. if you cant, then the needle and seat are ok.
but if you can blow into the carb by both methods The use compressed air {air compressor} into the carb fuel nut to blow the suspected dirt out. Then recheck as above. simply stated you dont have to take the carb apart to do this
