tranny and diff #
Hi there please could someone tell were to find the numbers for the tranny and differntial for a 73 vette. I went under the car but found casting numbers that have nothing to do with the ones listed on the corvette numbers guides. i want to know the diff ratio etc. Pictures will be highly appreciated.

Your 4-speed numbers will be on the passenger side stamped sideways and will start with the letter P, will also have the VIN stamp nearby.
The diff numbers are directly under the bottom of the center section in front of the spring and will need to jack the rear up high and get underneath to see.
Post the numbers to see what you got.

well im back with the results, I have a 3.70 rear en diff with a m-21 tranny last letter is B. Robricci I have the same hurst shifter but with the black ****. It really shift great, though the reverse is tricky, gotta get used to throughing it in.
