what fuel pump do i use??
the electric pump in the tank of my 82 died. im already running a carb and want to go to mechanical. what pump do i use. there are a gazillion to chose from. im most concerned with fit.

I too had this same problem a few days ago. I started with a high flow rebuildable mechanical pump, the problem is, the frame is so close to where the fuel pump sits, the lines wouldn't fit no matter which way I turned them. I ended up using a pump from a late 70's Z28. I have a 383 stroker so I figured a pump from a Z28 will have enough flow. They will all produce the same pressure, it is just the flow that varies. It fits great and seems to be working just fine so far. Good Luck.
