Default Windshield clips

Anyone know how these are held on a 78? I read some old posts that theirs were held in place by a screw (older models). I pulled my trim and some of them came out attached to the trim and it seemed that all that was holding them in was the windshield urethane, dont know if this was right or not or something Bubba the windshield repairman did.

I am not pulling the windshield!!! (hopefully....)

I dont know if the 78 is any differant than my 77 but along the top of my 77 there were about 6 or 7 little posts that held the clips attach to the top trim strip down to the windshield frame. Several of mine were broken off and Fortunately I had my windshield out so I drilled small holes in my windshield frame and held my clips down with small sheet metal screws. I dont know if you have room with the windshield in place or not

Not enough room, I had looked at that option, I may just try urethaning some new ones in until for some reason I have to replace the windshield and then do it right. Looked like Bubba's method worked until I pulled the trim off. Thanks
