Pulling out the A/C system....

Gentlemen
1980 Corvette...

A/C never worked when vette was purchased....
Not interested in jumping in an bottomless pit $$$$.00 to get her goin' again.... I'll invest the $$$$.00 elswhere on the vette

Want to take the system out.
Is there something that I need to do when yankin' the hardware out ?

Is there switches or relays vacum hoses or any other items that I need to make changes to ?

Whatever you decide to do, keep any parts that you remove. If you sell the car some day, such items could make or brake the deal.

She looks ugly Terry !

See what you're sayin' Terry but the compressor is ugly rusty colour. Planning to clean up the engine bay and paint piece by piece....
I guess I could paint the compressor and leave it alone...

I would just paint the compressor and brackets and leave it alone. I took mine out while doing the samething you are doing now. Wish I would have left it alone.
