Default Headlight mount bracket attachments

I've done a search, I've looked in the AIM, I've looked in the Shop Manual, Chilton, and Haynes. My project car was hit in the front and so has alot of "fabbed" frame pieces and I want to be able to put things back together the right way - so I can't go off of those parts. I can't find this anywhere.

Here's the deal. The headlight doors mount to a larger mounting bracket that also holds the vacuum diaphragms and mounts to the underside of the frint clip. That mounting bracket has two arms that come forward with threaded holes. I can't find anywhere a drawing or write-up that shows what those arms mount to and how.

Can anyone tell me or post a pic? Thanks!

The rods go from the bottom bolts of the headlight actuators out the the sides of the headlite support. you should have 2 rods for each headlight. one will be shorter than the other. They will only line up one way. I might be able to send you a picture.

I know these rods, and I have them, but I am referring to the other mounting point. The rods go from the actuator to about mid-way up the arms on the sides of the headlite support. What I need to know is, what do the ends of those arms (the arms of the headlite support) mount to? These ends have threaded holes in my car. The way my car was when I got it, the bumper center support bracket had two tabs welded to it that were bolted to these threaded holes in the ends of the headlite support I am talking about, but that was a "fabbed" job (the car was hit at some point) and not factory. I am trying to figure out what is the proper factory set-up.

It's probably a bit confusing but let me know if you know where I am talking about. Thanks.

I think you are speaking of the 2 front mounting pcs of the headlight assy. On the nose of the vette there is a metal angle bracket on each side bonded/pop rivited to the nose fiberglass. On the outer edges is where a bolt with a big flat washer goes thru which screws to the alum. headlite assy. This metal angle bracket is also where the plastic headlight shields screw too. Give me you email and a can send some pictures of where I am talking about. In the assy manual UPS 12 A3sheet H244. kind of shows it. hope this helps
