Default Help hooker sidepipes w/pics

Well i bought black hooker side pipes a year ago, the passenger side always leaked, the paint would always burn off, and pipes would rust.
I hated them!

Soo i just bought Stainless steal pipes, NO RUST!
I have not tried them on yet but thinks aren't looking like they are gonna seal.

or do you think when they are tighten down they will flatten out and seal?

When you tighten them down they should seal. I've seen worst seal up and not leak.

I would try to bolt them to an old cast iron head to see if they will straighten out before installing them, especially if you have aluminum heads on your engine. BTW, on my stainless steel hookers I heat wrapped them from the flange down about 1 foot to reduce engine compartment heat and protect the plug wires. I also made a stainless steel plate that blocks the heat from the headers from rising. BTW you will love the looks and convenes of the stainless steel Hookers. Mine did turn a little gold color but that polishes out with a buffer. The slight gold color is not too noticeable but with my Steel shields being so chrome looking they make the pipes look off color.
