I think I am having a vapor lock problem
So I bought a carb spacer
My question now is the spacer came with single plane gaskets
But my intake is a dull plane and the spacer is a dull plane
So if I use these gaskets there is going to be two small gaps between the center partision of the intake
The gaps will be between the center of the carb and the center of the spacer and there will be a gap between the center of the spacer and the center partision of the intake
The gaps will only be 1/32 of an inch
Will these gaps cause me any problems
Thanks for any help
Is the spacer phenolic? If it's aluminum it won't do much to stop the heat from transferring from the intake. I would just go ahead and try the parts you have to see if the vapor lock problem is cured, then go find the "right" gaskets, otherwise you might be chasing down parts you really don't need. Personally, I have never experienced vapor lock in any car I have driven in the past 35 years, but I suppose you might have that problem.
