Default alternate power wondow regulators

Are there other power window regulators out there that may work with the C3 corvette? Something like more modern regulators that use cables instead the large regulator gears, the spring, etc.

They be lighter weight, but not nearly as reliable, the ribbons snap all the time, and then you need find what you like in a junkyard, probably out of another 2dr car....

classic hot rodding, mix and match....

I would never concider a cable system over a regulator. The cable systen can be fixed of it breaks, but it is sure a PITA. The pass side on my 2000 PU broke and they wanted $140 for a replacement. I fixed it with a $12 Harley Throttle Cable.

C5 corvettes and of course other domestic and import use plastic plastic covered cables along with lightweight metal scissor supports. No springs, motor bushings, gears, etc.
Simply too many pieces to fool around with.
