It goes between the transmissioin tailshaft and the mount, the ears face rearward. The pipes tuck under it and are secured to it with muffler clamps.

The bracket mounts to the bottom of the transmission. Then u-clamps hold the exhaust to it.

You'll have to unbolt the tailshaft from the mount and raise it slightly to get it in but it should go.

Are the tailshaft bolts easily accessible from under the car? Can this be done with ramps or jack stands?

Thanks for all your help.

PS> TopGunn do you ever come down to the New Haven area for cruise nights or shows?

Yes you can get to them easily. I tried to take a picture for you but can't get a good shot with the car on the ground. Either ramps or jackstands will do the trick, you just need to get room enough to work, the higher the better for comfort. You may have to pull the driveshaft but not sure. I installed my mount before the shaft was in place.

I was going to ask where you were in CT., no I don't get down that way too much, I'm about 3 miles from the MA line so it's a trip. I went to Guilford to Moroso show a few weeks ago......did you?

Another pic for ya. I found it easier to unbolt the mount, jack up the trans just enought to REMOVE the mount, and then slip the hanger and mount back in together.

Your probably already aware but if you are using ramps be sure and put a block behind your rear wheels.Working in this area could kick the trans into neutral.
