Does it still clatter even after a cruise and the engine is hot?
Usually when you do an oil change the bearings and lifters all still have a coating of oil so they're not bone dry.
With the engine running, try to determine where exactly the noise if coming from. Maybe a particular side, top, bottom, front, back...
When you put the Pennzoil in, did you change the filter again? If the engine was fine up until the oil change, it could be a defective filter.
Great question and if you did not change it a second time, then no matter how unlikely that the oil filter is the cause, it seems to me to be the only explanation. You only changed 2 things - the oil and the filter. Then you used a second oil and the problem persisted. That means that the only other change not reversed is the filter. Let us know the solution to this mystery.

Happened to me once, carbon chunk off the valve stem got in the cylinder and knocked for a few minutes then broke up and the sound went away. This was after a few start ups and shut downs when it never warmed up (just moving the car in and out of the garage, doing work to the garage) Guess the fuel soaked the carbon then the peice broke off. Sounded real bad, I got that chill inside then the noise went away.
