Does anyone know the type of connector that is necessary for the lead into an original style 1980 power antenna (no CB)? I ordered an antenna wire kit but, it’s been back ordered and each time I call, the delivery time is extended. If I knew the type of connector, I would make up my own and I don’t really want to take the unit out just to look.
The antenna cable screws on and the wiring harness is a plug inside the car.
The wiring harness connector is pretty easy to get to and should not need antenna removal to see it. Look at the rear of the interior behind the driver, all the way back in the corner, behind the speaker, etc is the body penetration. The harness plug is very close to the rubber body plug and easy to see once you pull the carpet away.
i think he is talking about the connector that is on the antenna wire that screws to the power antenna, is there some sort of adapter that goes from that to standerd antenna cable.

i hope thats what your looking for so am i.
Yes, I am looking for the screw-on connector that connects to the power antenna. The power antenna works fine; it goes up and actually back down. The question is does anyone know what type of connector screws into antenna for the antenna wire?
