Default Lost my lens

I have lost the rear side marker lens on my 73. I quess it just fell off somewhere. It looks as though it was just glued on or something. The fixture is of coarse still there. I dont see any screw holes that holds the lens on. Are these lenses available from the parts vendors? You all might want to check yours to see if they too are ready to fall off. Might be a good idea to pop em of and re-adhear. Carefull now...dont crack em.

John,

Same thing happened to my 74, searched all over for a replacement lens, everywhere I checked I was told that the entire assembly is the only thing available, just the lens was never sold by itself. Just about all suppliers have the assembly. The problem is that they are now made of plastic not metal. You may want to check with Gary Gruhala and see if hes got a used metal piece. Good Luck.

Huh? I don't think they are talking about side mirrors.....

BTW: At Carlisle this year, I seen a box full of both the yellow and red side markers, some whole units, and some lenses by themselves. So maybe you can try at a local swap meet. I wonder if the size is the same for any other GM cars of that year?
