When did the SS calipers appeared?
I am in the process of rebuilding my brake calipers on my 1977. The rear right caliper is not of the type of the three others (SSBC instead of Delco Moraine). As I prefer to have a complete set of Delco Moraine, I found a vendor near me in France that sells four DM calipers out of a 1965 Corvette that has unfortunately crashed.
Does anyone knows when the Stainless Sleeves have appeared in the 1968-1982 period, as I would ensure that my vendor's set is of the SS type (and no, he is not going to open the calipers to check this out
)Thanks in advance.
A '77 is waiting to get back on the road.

Knowing now that only aftermarket product were stainless sleeved, I'll check if the vendor's car was genuine or not (I don't think so). This leave me a good chance to find the part I need.
Thanks again for your valuable support.
front left: 5473786 and 5452270
front right: 5473785 and 5470796
rear left: 1012 and 1013
rear right: 5473808 and 5452284
I don't know that much about these references. Any chance these are modern ones, stainless steel type?
Thx.

Front calipers, 2621203 inner right, 2621202 or 2621204 inner left, 2621206 outer both. Rear calipers, 2621204 inner left, 2621205 inner right, 2621207 outer left, 2621208 outer right.
As well as being used for all C3's from '76-'82, for non-HD brake applications, 2621202, 2621203 & 2621206 were used from '65-'75, and 2621204, 2621205, 2621207 & 2621208 from '67-'75. The HD brake option ended in '75.
The 54##### numbers you have are Delco Moraine replacement casting numbers, which I don't believe come SS lined although SSBC and VB&P modify and sell these new as such. Don't know what 1012 or 1013 refer to as far as a caliper goes.
Hope that helps.
