My buddy is looking for a set of used headers for his MOPAR. He needs headers that will fit a 400 and accomodate a A-frame (Dart). If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated. He is also looking for an 800cfm Holley with mechanical choke.
Is a 400 a small block or big block Mopar? I've got a buddy that's into Mopars. I built a 360 for his 66 Belvedere, went 12.52 on it's first pass. Mopars aren't that hard to get good power from, there just a bit ugly to look at. :D
Headers and A Body cars are a pain in the (*&&^) But tell him to look on http://www.swapzone.net They have a mopar section for cars and parts for sale.
I have had many a Mopar big and small blocks. (couldn't afford a vette back then) I believe Hooker is the only one that make headers for a B block in an A body. I believe you can get headers that stay within the engine compartment for a B block (361/383/400) but for a RB (413/426W/440) your only choice is fender well headers. Anyway I believe they are pretty expensive and I think you will have a tough time finding them used. Not to say that you can't. Try the mopar mailing list (man_box1@che.tamu.edu) I think you can send a command to that address "help" or "subscribe"

Re: Help for my MOPAR buddy (LT1man)
Tell him good luck! Quality used MOPAR headers are hard to come by. If he decides to buy new one have him look into CPPA headers. CPPA knows MOPARs! Leave the Hookers for Brand X cars.
