78 Indy Tranny ?
I searched first, but everything I Wanted to look at was coming up as invalid 
Hey everybody, its been a while! I come from the C4 world, but sold it back in 06. My father has been building his 78 Indy for a while now. He is having a tranny leak right around the pan, and for the life of him can't get it to stop. He has replaced the pan, the gasket, numerous times. He has gotten to the point of wanting to replace the whole tranny. I'm actually buying the tranny for him as a present, and am going to fly down at the end of the month to help him install it. My question to you is, what should I buy? I could get specs of the car if need be, I know that I am looking for a 700R4, but will any one work, or does it need to be year/car specific? Thanks a bunch guys!
