Default Wow/ Number ? again

I have a 1976 with a 350 engine. I noted the airfilter has a decal on it that notes 350ci/350 hp. Looking it up that engine was mfd in 69/70. I tried to find the # on the right front pad but it appears smooth blank. The only number I can see is at the left rear of the block and it is a cast # not a stamped one. It shows a clock with pointer at 3:00 and below that is the number 397810 any help on this ? Thanks

Here's a link to a thread I started a while back. It has some links to sites that may help you and there is some discussion about how to decipher the clock.

Thanks for the info. I bookmarked the site and will continue the search. (the p.o might have just picked the air filter up and liked the decal?)
