Default What Year Should I Go For Next?

I've had a C4 and a C3 and loved 'em a lot when I had 'em!

Now it's time for some what if.

If you were going to budget $25K for you next Corvette, what would it be?

Have to be a solid mid-year. Probably small block for that price but it should net you a nice one. :yesnod:

25k is a perfect 68 big block vert. (EDIT: 4 speed too)

just my .02

Mid-year! With 25K you should be able to get a really nice mid-year with a 327. Or you could get a C3 with a BB.

My choice would be the mid-year.

If I had $25k in my pocket right now, I'd buy a mid-year. I've never had one, they're awesome looking, it'd be a blast to drive, and I can still do some work on it myself. If I ever got in the position of not being able to work on it anymore, it would have appreciated even more and I could afford a brand new vette with a warranty. You can't lose :yesnod:

I dont think you could get a c5 for 25k.
For a driver, Id go for a 77.
for an occasional, 69 to 73.
Never been much for mid years, although I have owned them.
Just one more $ .02 worth of useless information.
Probably wont fire the imagination. ;)

You may be able to pick up a LT4 for that price.

No doubt about it. 68-72 big block monster. I'd prefer a 427 just because I like em.

At least around here you can come close to an early C5 on that budget. I would personally go for a Mid-year coupe. Nothing like the roofline of those cars!!!! I know that that will be my next one.

$25k will buy you a like new '90 ZR-1. These cars are so underpriced that it's a no-brainer.

That's weird, I have been involved with the ZR-1 community for years and I have only seen one ZR-1 blow a head gasket. That was on a highly modified car.

Stock ZR-1's don't break.

Ive owned a 69 427, a 68 327, a64 327 and now I have a 66 coupe BB. I really enjoyed them all but the midyears are in a class by themselves. If you can find a solid one for that price buy it. You will not be disapointed. There is not a cooler car made.

i'll be the crazy one to say this... invest half of it and buy a decent C3 that you can turn into a Gmachine

other than that you'll have your midyear in a few more years
