Default Here We Go Again. What Now??

Ok Got it running again. Put new Timing Chain Set. More Plugs, Plug wires,
Distributor Cap And Rotor button, Coil, Pick up Coil. It in time By the light .Starts Great. But when I put it in gear it pops out of the pipes. I am about to Put it up For sale. Any takers? Help me Please!!! :confused: :confused: :cuss :cuss :cry :cry :mad :mad :sad: :sad:

I havent got the money to keep up with it. LOL Do you know where I can sell it. Its a 1982 silver. Strait body alot of new parts needs shocks to.

What is the full story? When/how did it stop working? What modifications did you do to it (i.e. cam installation?) or did it just start doing this?

I agree with Ron. If you have it running at idle you can't be too far of. Been there and it can be fustrating! Just methodically go through the setup again. Is it the stock cam? If not the timing could be different than stock. How about the vacuum advance? Is that working correctly? Dwell and point setting correct? Any vacuum leaks? Is the carb setup correctly? Is the fuel filter good?
Take a break first!!

Well I just got the car 3 weeks ago. i put a newly rebuilt 700R4 in it. I was on my way home from the Shop and it jumped time. It is Staock it still had the water pump that came on it. I have got to drive it About 5 miles if that. but i cant find out what it is now to cold to stand out side and keep playing with the motor. Manb its cold out there today..

It is bone stock the guy i got it from Put gas in it and went. still had the factory timing chain in it and the water pump.I dont think he ever change the plugs.
