I know this topic was on here a while back but I can't find it. Does anyone know a treatment that works to whiten the washer tank and overflow tank. Thanks, Craig :chevy
I bought new ones. I remember others got them farily clean using several methods, but replacements are not that expensive. I kept the originals though.
I would try some Bleeche White. I hear that works great.
I asked this ame question about a year ago, but with no "do it yourselfer" suggestions. My father recently suggested that I try a strong denture cleaner to see if it might brighten or whiten myheavily stained 73 overflow bottle. I haven't tried this yet, so I don't know if it will work, but he said my Mom uses this trick to clean her soiled plastic white lamp shades.
If you try this, let us all know the results.
Hope this is the answer we have been looking for.

Are the tanks on a 73 the same as 74-77? I thought I remembered seeing posts that they were different and no one was making them. Any info will be appreciated. Craig :)
i heard this idea from a pretty reliable source, never bothered to try it myself. try using hot water, some soap, and buckshot in the tank. And just shake the hell out of it.
couldnt tell you if it'll do anything, but i guess its worth a try.
